I opened TEAL Hair Design because I wanted to not only create a warm, friendly and relaxing space, where guests could come and let their hair down (no pun intended!) and enjoy some down-time from their busy lives. But also a safe space for stylists to be themselves, to have creative freedom and be surrounded by a group of like-minded stylists who genuinely care and cheer each other on every single day.

I am a total hair nerd and (if I'm being honest...) a total over-thinker too, so when I started learning about the science behind our hair and hair colour at college, I completely geeked-out and I knew straight away that this was where my passion lied.

Being married to a farmer (not as fun as it sounds btw), a mum of 2 lively boys and a labrador - life at home can get a little hectic; so I love the freedom and flexibility to spend more time with my family that this industry gives me. I don't have much free time for hobbies, but I do love music (mostly old school rnb) and I am often found dancing around my kitchen like a loony or in my car pretending I'm in an MTV music video!!

My favourite thing to do behind the chair is Balayage, more specifically, low-maintenance hair colour. I am a sucker for an effortless, beachy blonde and believe that your hair colour should compliment and enhance your natural beauty, while giving you the freedom to go longer between salon appointments. When a client tells me their colour is still looking great 4+ months later... that's what really lights me up and fills me with pride!

There's no better feeling as a hairstylist, than seeing the joy and confidence just oozing from my clients when they walk out of the salon.
